BBQ Beef Sandwich on a Potato Roll
Great food for good value is hard to find these days. Robz, just 5 weeks old, is proving that it is still possible. For just 5 dollars, you can get an awesome meal that will leave you full and satisfied, with absolutely no fuss.
The focus is home made slow cooked meats, free from any processing and preservatives. Pulled pork, BBQ beef, slow roasted beef, slow roasted back bacon, and the list goes on... All of their sandwiches come with coleslaw and a dill pickle slice.
Owner and cook Robert Johnson learned the tricks of the trade at several steak houses, the most recent being The Crazy Horse in Kanata. Robz is located in a strip mall on Carling, which is in the space of a former Chinese take out joint. You may notice woks sitting on top of the stove, which are now cleverly used as meat smokers.
You won't be disappointed with the food. And with the affordable prices, this is easily a place you can go back time and time again.

That looks really yummy. It's not even 10am and I want lunch already. *droolz*
Try to go last week at 1:30 . Was told it would be a least an hour to get my sandwich. I can appreciate they are new but an hour! I don't have an endless lunch hour.
Found Rob to be very rude with his helper. Maybe just an off day?
Might give it another go but then again I might not.
I'd say to the post above that it was either and off day or just misinterpreted, because it had a great vibe when I was in there today!
The sandwich is slow cooked, as the article notes, so it makes sense to call ahead so you don't have to wait while they slow cook it!
Unbelievable taste and it didn't dent the wallet anymore than a far inferior fast food joint. I'll be back for sure.
